What is Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?
Scalp micro pigmentation (SMP), sometimes called “hair tattooing,” is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment that uses specialised micro-needles to place tiny dots of pigment into the scalp. These dots replicate the appearance of natural hair follicles, helping disguise hair loss and create a natural-looking result.
SMP offers two main treatment options. For people with little or no hair, it creates the appearance of a closely shaved head, with a carefully designed hairline. For people with thinning hair, pigment is placed between the existing hairs to reduce visible scalp and create the appearance of fuller, thicker hair.
Suitable for both men and women, SMP can also help camouflage scalp scars, including hair transplant scars, and disguise areas of hair loss caused by alopecia. Every treatment is tailored to your hair colour, skin tone and individual needs.
